Smuggy McSmuggerton

You guys, I have been driving my Barbie Jeep for nine+ years. It has been awesome. It has gotten me around in ridiculous snow storms. It has carried countless pieces of wonderful furniture to and fro. It has helped move me six times in seven years. It has been a great companion.

But I traded that mo-fo in on Saturday and bought myself a 2012 Prius C. It's this one:
It's like a one-person space ship on the inside. It can accommodate me and maybe one grocery bag carrying two apples, a container of hummus, and one roll of unbleached 100% recycled content TP. And my enormous sense of superiority over everyone not driving a hybrid or electric vehicle.

No, no. I'm just kidding. I think the Jeep was probably getting, about, 15 MPG at the end there, so I can't really throw stones. But I do feel much more urban and Cambridge-y about myself now. And wow, car technology has really improved over the last nine years. I don't even have a key anymore. People! Did you know this was a thing?  Absolutely amazing.

When I told my parents that I was planning to purchase a new car:
my Mom: Are you taking the Man with you when you go? Because you know how they treat women in these situations...
Leslie: I have been a purchasing professional for over 10 years. I think I can negotiate a car deal.
Mom: Oh yeah.

When I told the Man about the above conversation:
the Man: Wait. You don't want me to go with you?

Please note: I went by myself and managed to negotiate a totally reasonable deal. For reals.
