Here's one of the reasons I love where I live:
I was driving into work today. I generally hit Harvard Square at about 7:38-7:42ish. Because the weather isn't insanely cold or snowy anymore, there are many many pedestrians. We try to live in harmony, the pedestrians and I do.
I approached a crosswalk going my normal 8 MPH that is about as fast as I can go during my morning commute and I stopped to let a young woman cross. She smiled a very bright smile and she didn't wave, but flashed me a peace sign.
Yes, you lovely hippie. Right back atcha. Shine on you crazy diamond!
