Our house is a very very very fine house...

So it would seem that we got the house. And by "we", I mean "the Man" since he'll own it, but you know what I mean.

I saw it on the inside for the first time today and it is AWESOME. And by "awesome" I mean "the rooms and the bones and the light and the driveway are good but whoever decorated it was obviously taking direction from drunk toddlers in the 80s".

But who cares about cosmetics, right? We can take down wallpaper and tear up carpet and paint and paint and paint.
I'm very excited right now. This house: it has closets. And pantries (yes! two!). And we're even closer to Starbucks and Dave's Fresh Pasta. It's all a girl could want.
Here's the Man writing a check in the kitchen. Yes! I proudly admit that there's diagonal wood paneling on many of the walls! And I kind of love it!
This is the dining room which is PINK. Plus, those are mirror tiles on the wall. And you can't see it here but there's some sort of weird mauve polyester border around the ceiling. I'm not even going to show you the wallpaper and aqua carpeting. That's just for me!

In my mind I'm imagining a future where the Man is an evil slumlord of Somerville and I am his beautiful wife who does nothing but oppresses people all day and of course I'll wear fur and a white turban cap with a giant blood diamond on it and there'll be a movie about our inevitable demise and I will insist on playing myself because I'll think that all of the plastic surgery I've had has rendered me as beautiful as ever when in fact my face will be so stretched that my ears will be located on the back of my head. It'll be such a mess!

So, that's the stuff that's in my head. You're welcome.

Congratulations! I'm sure you'll be a truly wonderful slumlady.

(I am always up for painting/ripping up carpet (heh heh) parties).

Yay! So glad you found a place to love. Just think how many chairs you'll be able to fit in there!

I'm envisioning lots of wine and painting and possibly carpet ripping up (seriously get your mind out of the gutter Shelley) while the Man is off skiing.

YAY!

And don't think I haven't thought about the chairs!
