Submitted for your approval: a picture of my idiocy.
This morning I'm brushing my teeth and blow-drying my hair at the same time, because I'm EFFICIENT! And I have to drop the Man at his place before going to work so I have to cut some time off my routine. So I go to spit the toothpaste out of my mouth and I spit in the sink, directly on the cord of my dryer. Yuk. And I am, as I mentioned, an idiot so I turn on the water at full power to wash away my slimy toothpaste-y saliva from the cord, while the dryer is still on and drying my hair.
Kids, don't try this at home. Only professionals can mix water and electricity (and saliva).
I've been doing more than attempting morning suicide, though... I've been rehearsing for a thing this weekend, which should be good. And Wednesday I went to dinner with M at Chez Henri in Cambridge and had some delicious duck breast with amazingsauce. I also had one of the best mojitos in the world, and a drink called a Hemingway Daiquiri. It had rum, maraschino liquor, grapefruit juice and lime. It tasted like rum with a slice of lime. Like Hemingway's writing, the drink was strong and to the point. I liked it. I've also been taking pictures of some furniture items I want to get rid of before - dare I write it? Yes, I dare - I move in with the Man in July. Much of my stuff will live in the garage no doubt but there are many things I hope not to have to move even one more time. Let someone else give them new life.
Ahhh. You know, I'm looking forward to the weekend. Aren't you? Right? OH! I'm taking an upholstery class on Saturdays and re-doing a chair that I bought from someone for $20 because the vinyl was ripped and I'm re-upholstering it in this super soft faux-leather ostrich skin-looking stuff. It's pretty sweet. I'll post pictures when I'm done. So far I've only done the destruction, which is I suspect, the easy part.
That's all for now. Oh - except I got you this:
