Ambush

I have a mean habit of ambushing my Man when he's drunk into talking about things that I want to talk about.
After my show* on Saturday we met at Orleans where the cast was celebrating. He'd already been drinking and we had two more drinks so he was a bit drunk when we walked to my place afterward. So:

Leslie: If you had to move away from here for work, would you want me to come with you?
Man: Why would I move?
Leslie: I don't know, if you HAD TO. For work or something...?
Man: I don't think I'll have to move anywhere.
Leslie: Yes but if you did. Would you want me to come with you?
Man: Oh. Well yes I would. Why?
Leslie: No reason, just trying to foresee our reactions to every possible future scenario.

*The show has been going great. We sold out on Friday and Saturday (turning away about a dozen people) and Sunday's matinee was pretty full. I've had great feedback and a lot of fun. Yesterday after the show a bunch of wonderful people came home with me and we ordered in Thai food and had some beers and chatted and it was lovely.
Mmmm... weekends.
