Stuff I bought

As I've mentioned, last weekend I went to Somerville Open Studios and I bought some things with my heard-earned money. This vase! I love it. I know it looks a bit primitive, but it's lovely and inventive and it is my precious. The other items that this artist (whose last name is Peck, but I forget her first name) made were so ornate and unique and fun(!) that I wanted to walk away with much, much more.
Directly after seeing all of the beautiful pottery, we went to "the artist who works with leaves"'s house. I'm calling him that because I don't know his name and it's written in pencil so lightly on the print that I can't make it out. He's the one who made the comment about this being his most popular print, and I feel a little better now since I see on the print that mine is #15 of 25. So, it's not like there are hundreds of these things...
It may not look that cool from farther away (or, for that matter, out of context from his other work - I always wish I could buy multiple pieces from one artist so you get a better idea of their oeuvre and really "get them") but if you see the detail - he's sliced all of the leaves and reattached the backside to the front side* and it's meticulously done and I love it. It reminds me of Andy Goldsworthy (if you've never seen his work, get thee to Google Images immediately).
So, can I get a "Hell Yes!" for art? Because the art: it is so good.

*Kind of like when Mel Brooks is in the bathroom in SpaceBalls and he can look down and see his butt and he's pissed that no one told him it was so big... No? Anyone? Fine.
