Weekend update

Oh, you guys! Our opening weekend for Pride and Prejudice was SO good! We had about 500 people come to see the show over the 2 nights and they were terrific audiences. Next week audiences should be aware that they have big shoes to fill.
The cast bonding after the shows was delightful and I was surprised I was able to stay awake for it. The first night we all went to The Joshua Tree for a P&P&Zombies party, where they gave us free drinks (Fraternity-house-style Hawaiian punch with tequila, but hey - FREE) and some food. And very loud music. Still, fun. Saturday night we ended up at Tavern on the Square in Porter Square and I had one large beer and some nachos and called it a night.
Sunday the Man and I went with a friend who is house-hunting since her husband couldn't be there for moral support. I also did all of the loads of laundry in the world because the Man hooked up our dryer and HOLY POTATO modern conveniences like laundry machines in your pantry are nice. Pretty much everything we own is clean and dry.

Last night to wind down we watched The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I thought it was a good movie, and the actors did a pretty great job. The cinematography was also wonderful to watch. I was struck by how much the flashback scenes looked like old photographs. In any case, dinner, a movie and some wine on the couch was a pretty great way to end the weekend.

Back to work...

My throat was all sore and scratchy on Saturday, and it still kind of is. Either it's my allergies, or it's from trying to talk over that damn music, and I really think it's the latter. Ugh.

Also, I have been told by several people that I should crash K&C Night on Friday. It's nice to be wanted. :)

Which version, the American one or the Swedish?

Glad it all went well and that you have warm, dry clothes!
