Sorry I've been gone, but I moved!

Last Thursday (July 1st) I moved.
I went from one small third floor apartment on one side of Davis Square to a different small first floor apartment on the other side of Davis Square. This picture is from Thursday night. It's messy.

This is a similar picture, featuring completely different junk, er, um, precious possessions.
Possibly the best part of this place is the fact that I am on the first floor. The cats can go outside. They scream and sprint less at night. They are dirtier. Dirtier, but happier. Here's Kail the Conqueror being both dirty and happy. He's on the walk from the porch to the street. On the other side of the porch, there's GREEN. Grass. Bushes...
Even these. I had some in my cheerios this morning. Yum!
I've made a lot of progress on cleaning up and finding a place for everything, but there's still so much to do. Also, IKEA! I have to go there in the next 3 days-ish. There are inexpensive solutions for small-apartment living that I must have. I'll try to update you with pictures of this exciting process.

This weekend was not only spent moving (just mostly).

I also went into Boston with the Man for the 4th. We didn't stick around to see any fireworks (meh.) because we were looking forward to cuddling and wanted to be horizontal after a long, hard weekend, but we did get some drinks and some food outside. We walked along the harborwalk in the beautiful sunshine and discovered new corners of Boston and enjoyed just talking and being outside. On our way back to my place, we were the only ones taking the T out of Boston (that person in the picture is a T worker, not a passenger).
We got home. I let out the cats and made us some summery-Hendricks drinks. We cuddled and fell asleep on the couch. Good 4th of July :)
