Let that be a lesson to you

As I was driving home after work yesterday, I came to the light at Highland and Willow. Because the traffic around here is so bad, by the time I get there my spirit has been broken and I just want to get to my block so I can angrily circle looking for parking, so I drove through the intersection as the light was turning red.
And there was a cop directly on my left. Who then turned on his lights. Boo.
I immediately pulled over to the right and shut off my engine because OF COURSE! WHY OH WHY am I so dumb?
He drove past me and pulled over the Hyundai in front of me. For what? I have no idea. I started the engine and made my way (obeying all traffic regulations) home.

I'll just call that a freebie and take it as a lesson to be a bit more cautious in my driving in the future.
Lesson learned.

Hah! That just supports my theory that the only traffic law they actually enforce is the yielding to pedestrians one. That's why all the people around here run red lights. You, my darling, are definitely a Masshole ;-)
