A reminder to myself

Things I’m happy about right now, in no particular order (for future reference, in case I wonder what could have possibly made me happy in January):

-Getting a sewing machine
-Making deals with myself that I think I can keep
-Warm sweaters, hot beverages with friends, and heat-included apartments
-Oxford commas
-A man who wants to take me skiing even though he is an expert and I am a beginner
-Remembering months in advance that I need to renew my Dutch passport
-Being confident in the knowledge that I know how much perfume is TOO MUCH
-Cheese (always)
-Close proximity to friends
-Fuzzy soft sleeping cats who snore
-Putting on a movie, but not watching the movie because we just want to talk more
-New, dotty socks to help keep me warm
