Ahhhhh!

Last night (9:30ish?) I was walking home from Davis Square - the trip takes about 20 minutes, and the weather, though threatening rain, was pretty good. I walked past an apartment complex on Mass Ave and there was a woman on the stoop with her head in her hands. She was rocking back and forth a little. I had 2 thoughts:
1. Oh! Should I see if she's ok?
and
2. In a horror movie, this is where I'd find out she was a vampire because she'd fling herself at me with superhuman strength and suck all of my blood!

Before I was able to act on either of these thoughts, she bolted upright and started screaming and flailing about with what I can only describe as psychotic "jazz hands".
You KNOW me, you B*TCH!

No I DON'T!!!
Gaaah! What the hell? I guess she watched a lot of horror movies, too. I was happy that there was a gas station attendant next door having a smoke. Not that I thought he would have been much help in a scary blood-sucking event, but at least he may have borne witness when I sold my story to the National Enquirer...

Well, fear not. I made it home alive...BARELY! (cue dramatic music now)

Lazy. Hazy. Friday.

With this blog, I'm trying to post frequently, but not to ramble. I hope that it works out. I want people to be able to catch up with me, but not have to be subjected to every mundane detail of my life.

I am very excited that it's Friday. The reason is that other than modeling for 3 hours tomorrow, I have no commitments for the weekend. Now, there are things to do, bien sur, but there are always things to do. I hope to completely clean every millimeter of the kitchen, do some laundry, and brush the 37 lbs of extra hair off of my cats. Also, read. And nap. And eat ice cream. And learn my lines. And wash my car. And buy a couple of plants to replace my dead ones. And maybe take in a movie. Also, some vitamin D. So, the weekend is actually filling up :)

Tonight will be for BLTs(with avocado - so healthy, HA!) and lounging on the back porch with M and a glass of wine. I hope that the weather cooperates long enough for me to walk home, but after that the sky can open up for all I care (as it seems to want to do). Ahhhh.... Friday.

Friends, Food, Fantastic Weather

Last night I walked to Davis Square to meet the lovely A and J for food and cocktails. We tooled around for a while trying to find a place that was 1. not terribly crowded; 2. had outdoor, or open-to-the-outdoor seating; and 3. had food and booze. We ended up at Diva for Indian food (yum, naan!) and some drinks. The chatting was delightful, the food, naan-y, and the company, superb. J and I left A to walk home in one direction while we took the other. I LOVE walking around in the summer.

Sadly, my cats are evil scientists who are performing cruel and unusual sleep-deprivation studies on me. I shall have to disable their vocal cords...yawn.
